Community Engagement: Making a Healthier Community Together

Healthy Aging Talk Around

To fulfill our goal of creating an informed, well-educated community with access to healthy aging resources, we connect with the community through several programs.

Our Healthy Aging Talk Arounds are a lecture series we actively deliver to the Baton Rouge community. The discussion topics are chosen by the audience, but common subjects include Caregiving, Mental Health, Nutrition, Sexuality, Physical Activity and Spirituality. Talk Around lectures are completely free and open to the public.

Please enjoy regular videos and presentations on health topics at this link until we can see you in person again.

Priest Retirement Workshop

Our upcoming Priest Retirement Workshop is designed for priests in their 60s or approaching retirement and it will be a resource to prepare priests for this transition. Of course, priests never fully retire. By the nature of the sacrament of Holy Orders, priests always have some form of priestly ministry, this workshop series will be a tool in this new season of life.

Aging2.0 Collaborations

In recent years, we’ve developed an exciting relationship with the Baton Rouge chapter of Aging2.0. Founded in 2012, Aging2.0 strives to accelerate innovation to address the biggest challenges and opportunities surrounding aging.
