October 1st is the International Day of Older Persons, so let’s get together and celebrate all things related to healthy aging!
The International Day of Older Persons was begun by the United Nations in 1990 as a way to recognize older adults and celebrate their lives, as well as bringing awareness to issues which they may be facing. The theme for the International Day of Older Persons 2021 is Digital Equity For All Ages – but what does this mean?
Digital equity allows for all people to be able to have equal access and benefit to all that digital media has to offer. Digital equity also emphasizes the importance of protecting yourself online, being aware of cyber-threats, as well as understanding issues with misinformation. Want to learn more?
