Staying Safe In Summer

Summer time is here, the days are longer and we are outside enjoying the great outdoors. Spending time at the beach, gardening, and afternoon walks are all treasured summer past times. However, older adults are more susceptible to high temperatures for a variety of reasons. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, older adults are at a higher risk of heat stress for a variety of reasons, including chronic health conditions and side effects from prescriptions.
