With over forty years of experience, Ms. Schneider has practiced in many fields of nursing, including medical-surgical, cardiology, intensive care, emergency medicine, rehabilitation, home care, and hospice. For 25 years internationally certified as a wound, ostomy, and continence nursing specialist, she practiced in acute care as well as in the home and outpatient settings and currently maintains a private contract for consultation on complex wound and ostomy issues. Ms. Schneider is employed full-time as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Franciscan University School of Nursing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
As founding President for the Baton Rouge Area WOC Network, past Treasurer for the Baton Rouge District Nurses Association, and a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Health Equity during the Covid pandemic Ms. Schneider has supported public health concerns and passionately conveyed the practice of professional nursing to the future generations.
